Poinsters doing the CN Tower Edge Walk

Points is a great place to work year-round, but anyone who works here will agree that summer is the best season to be a Pointster. The reason: the Summer Fun program! From June to August, any employee can propose an idea for an excursion or event to the rest of the company, and if 10 or more people sign up, Points foots the bill.

Every year, Summer Fun gets a great response, but this may have been the best one yet, with over 20 proposed activities. Suggestions ranged from traditional (movies, sports games) to niche (axe-throwing, mani-pedis) to thrill-seeking (the CN Tower Edgewalk). Here’s a look at some of the summer fun that’s been had so far — and we’re only halfway through the season!

Soccer match

We cheered on the Toronto FC at BMO Field, and enjoyed the view of downtown Toronto at twilight.

The friendly coaches at the Backyard Axe Throwing League guided our group through the art and science of recreational axe throwing.

CN Tower Edgewalk

One of Toronto’s hottest tickets is the Edgewalk – a hair-raising walk around the edge of the CN Tower. Here’s how our group felt before tackling the tower…

…and after!
