PyCon Canada 2013:
Bring on the Python power! Yes, it’s safe to say that we’ve been bitten by the “Python bug” at Points – we’re sponsoring the PyCon Canada conference for the second consecutive year.
As a company committed to using Python to re-write – or should I say re-code – the loyalty currency landscape by making the redemption, gifting and exchanging of points and miles (or other rewards currencies) a seamless experience, our support for this conference is a natural fit. In the last two years we have been introducing Python into our technology stack to help us realize our mission. And our mission is simple. It’s to help make the global loyalty programs more valuable and engaging. We do this through new and innovative ways for members, businesses and loyalty programs to connect to each other.
This is why we’re proud to be involved with this year’s PyCon Canada event to promote the language and our company vision to both fellow ‘Pythonistas’ and the wider tech community. If you’re a developer looking to learn more about Python this is a great conference to do it. And be sure to stop by the Points booth at the Chestnut Conference Center in Toronto from August 9th though the 11th. You can meet some of Points’ developers and members of the Python Canadian community for the ultimate brainstorming and collaborative experience.
Ultimately the loyalty programs that our company is powering are about more than points and perks. They’re also technology incubators and facilitators. As members of the Python community, we understand the importance of developer events like PyCon and how getting involved helps broaden popular support for not only for this language but for our work in general.
We hope you’ll stop by our booth – here’s a map to help you find us at the conference – and share with us some of the challenges you’re working to solve and why Points might be a great fit for you.
